Ordinary Miracles

I just love it when God gives us those exciting moments in life. The big moments. Moments when you find out you are pregnant and know that he has blessed you with a new life. Times when he shows you his awesome power by making everything fall into place for a big project, a work promotion, or finding the perfect house. Weeks when the same verse of scripture keeps appearing at church, in your bible study, in your devotion, and in a email from a friend--gently pointing you in the right direction. I love the big moments. However, lately God has been showing me how truly wonderful he is even in my common, stay-at-home-mom life.



These ordinary miracles have began to speak to my life even louder than the big ones. Recently, God has so perfectly orchestrated the timing of these tiny things that, if I wasn't careful, I would have missed. The check coming on just the right day...The plans that have to be changed but turn out for the better... The letter from a friend that came at just the right time...The speeding car behind us screeching to a halt mere feet from the back of our car... Ordinary things-- yet things with a big impact. The most incredible part is knowing that He has planned all of this. He the mastermind behind these seemingly small things that make up our days. It is so amazing to me! He is personally directing each little detail of our lives. To God be the glory! I am thankful that He is there every minute of my life, guiding and directing me toward his will. His timing is perfect even in the things that seem common. He is an awesome God!
